If you don't have a will in place, you really should do.

Around half of the British adult population don't have a will, and 25% think they do not have enough money to make it worthwhile.

Here are some reasons why you do need one.

1/ Dying without a will is going to leave loved ones with a mountain of work to do.

2/ If you are living with a partner, your cohabitee has no automatic rights. A will ensures assets are correctly passed to a surviving partner.

3/ Single parents need to make sure children will be looked after by those they wish to. Without a will in place this could be decided by a court of law instead.

4/ LPA's (Lasting Powers Of Attorney) also sit alongside a will. This gives someone you trust the ability to control your affairs, financially and medically, if you are no longer able to do so.

If you would like to discuss getting a will or LPA in place, please get in touch.
